Freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.
I hope all is well. So as you can see, we felt like taking pictures last week. The actual day we took the pictures, the weather was perfect; we had sun and wind. So, we decided to go out to the park, walk the trail, take pictures and then ice cream! The best part, was the ice cream 🥰 We both got TWO scoops of cold goodness, it was great.
I am so happy it’s summer now, it doesn’t seem so dark in a since, not just with the sun being out; if you know what I mean. It makes me want to move around and get things done.
I am also still working from home, no complaints; I have adjusted. This allows me more time with babygirl and we have been busy.
We’ve potted plants, cut some trees (small ones) experimented on homemade baked goods like donuts, pretzels and cupcakes as well as creating different dinner dishes. We’ve had some silly fun as well like counting and running after fireflies and spraying each other with the garden hoes/sprinkler.
Babygirl is also doing a virtual summer school until mid July; she has love/hate feelings about it. We decided that although she’d finished her school year with A’s and B’s, we wanted to make sure she doesn’t fall behind with everything; since there was no virtual teaching the months school buildings were closed.
I’ve found that as long as I can keep myself busy, I’m not focusing on everything that is happening. I’ve started meditation and slowly getting back into yoga ( slowly like almost to a crawl); it’s working out well.
Tell me, how are you finding your sunshine or freedom?
Until next time nzuri, stlye you unapologetically 💗
