Because Freedom is not Free…

Freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

Hello Nzuri,

I hope all is well.  So as you can see, we felt like taking pictures last week. The actual day we took the pictures, the weather was perfect; we had sun and wind. So, we decided to go out to the park,  walk the trail, take pictures  and then ice cream! The best part, was the ice cream 🥰 We both got TWO scoops of cold goodness, it was great.

I am so happy it’s summer now, it doesn’t seem so dark in a since, not just with the sun being out;  if you know what I mean. It makes me want to move around and get things done.

I am also still working  from home, no complaints; I have adjusted. This allows me more time with babygirl and we have been busy.

We’ve potted plants, cut some trees (small ones) experimented on homemade baked goods like donuts, pretzels and cupcakes as well as creating different dinner dishes. We’ve had some silly fun as well like counting and running after fireflies and spraying each other with the garden hoes/sprinkler.

Babygirl is also doing a virtual summer school until mid July; she has love/hate feelings about it. We decided that although she’d finished her school year with A’s and B’s, we wanted to make sure she doesn’t fall behind with everything; since there was no virtual teaching the months school buildings were closed.

Goddess sundress gifted.

I’ve found that as long as I can keep myself busy, I’m not focusing on everything that is happening.  I’ve started meditation and slowly getting back into yoga ( slowly like almost to a crawl); it’s working out well.

Tell me, how are you finding your sunshine or freedom?

She’s my ☀️

Until next time nzuri, stlye you unapologetically 💗

Getting slowly back into yoga still counts. I need to get back to my sciatica stretches. Threw out my handout of stretches when my back healed so well…but here we are and I have back pain again.

Glad you are taking advantage of the summer school program for lil bit. I am very concerned about my 9 year old granddaughter. My daughter did the best she could with the online schooling but it just wasn’t the same. Not sure she is ready to go into 5th grade. And we don’t know what schooling will look like anyway in the coming year.

LOVE that dress. Goddess indeed. Those colors are so refreshing and that fit is va-va-va-voom!! Like that was custom made for YOU. Stunning. Glad you guys enjoyed some time at the park and ice cream.

Hi Leslie! Yes, getting back into the grove of EVERYTHING is presenting some challenges. I also have back pains, the stretching does help but like you said, it needs to be consistent. Tell your daughter all we can do is our best in all this, I’m sure your granddaughter will do just fine in 5th grade. Thank you so much for stopping bye and yes we had a great time at the park and enjoyed our ice cream too much😊
