Closet finds: Haltered Brown Leather Trimmed Chiffon Dress

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.

Hello nzuri!

I hope this post finds you well.♥️

These pictures are the start of a series of three haltered looks that have been in my wardrobe collection for some time. While still under stay-at-home orders, I’ve been going through my closets gearing up for spring hauls and discovered I’d not featured these looks. So, I decided to do a trio of looks, although there all haltered, they are very different styles, materials and brilliant colors.

This OOTD was gifted to me a couple of years ago. This beautiful midi dress material is chiffon which is a light, flowy and soft feminine feel. The over emphasized bust area is infused with details surrounding, while the single zipper in front exposes the cute little detailed metal flowers underneath. I find the trimed faux leather embroidery very sophisticated and fun as well.

I’m not sure why I’d not featured this dress before, it embodies femininity.

Tell me, how do you feel about halters, would you wear them at any age?

Unapologetic about…

…retreating from social media, limited amounts of news and embracing my uneasiness. For the past couple of weeks I’ve taken another break from social media and on one of those weeks my blog. With everything going on I really needed a break from the noise and settling into our new norm is presenting some major adjustments, especially with working from home full time and with babygirl out of school until August. My husband had taken time off to help with her learning, for which I’m so grateful.

I think the biggest challenge for me is not being able to leave and go where I’d like at any given moment. I know all the precautions are to aid in the fight against this pandemic and I am complying, I’m just still adjusting and I need some extra time for myself. So, social media breaks will continue on and off until I’ve adjusted.

Until next time nzuri, remember to take care of yourself, take the extra time and continue to style YOU unapologetically. ♥️

Thanks Daenel! I thought bono too, it’s really comfortable and very feminine. I forgot to say that shoes were gifted from a coworker, I love neon heel.

You think if I dig around in my closet long enough, I will find such a captivating dress? Love all the things that make this special, the zipper, the leather, the halter/cold shoulder sassiness. And that rich brown color. Beautiful.

Glad your husband was able to take time off to help babygirl with school. Is she climbing the walls with this lockdown? I feel so badly for my 9 year old and 4 year old grands. They have been playing alone for so long now. They won’t know how to act to have real kids to play with.

Hi Leslie, thanks for dropping bye. Yes, my baby isn’t feeling the lock down, she’s making all kinds of plans for when we can move about normally. I wish she had another smaller sibling here like your grandchildren; at least she’d have someone to play with. I hope all is well with you and family, take care.
