Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.” – Og Mandino
The OOTD was taken on the night my daughter and I played dress up, remember I told you there were two wardrobe changes. I will feature her final look on our next Wordless Wednesday.
Now, lets talk about this dress! This style reminds me of a 70’s disco lady, with the dipped neckline, spaghetti straps, glitz and shimmer of the entire look.
At first glance upon opening the package, I thought this is too big and it looked boxy. Also, I thought what a mistake I’d made as I went two sizes up to a large, because this brand’s clothing normally runs smaller on me. After trying it on the fit is perfect! Although it doesn’t hide any imperfections!
Seriously, this dress shows every inch of your figure, which I’m normally OK with, but as you can see when sitting🙄 not so much. My recommendations are a GREAT girdle (or you can hold your breath until you pass out, that might be too extreme) which I’m in search of now; that blog post to come…
I do have to add that the dress is very well made, I assumed because of the price it would be really thin, I purchased it on a black Friday sale for $10. Yet the material is very durable and stretches, the length is perfect for my height. I also really love the shimmer it gives off underneath the lighting, think spinning disco ball.
Tell me, what do you think, would you were a dress that revealed every imperfections and still like it?
Until next time nzuri, thanks for stopping by; remember your style matters!
