Autumn Colors: Casual To Work Flow…

Hello nzuri!

“Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.” —Gianni Versace

And with that said, I hope you’re making your own “trend” of just doing you. My blog is about inspiring others and MYSELF to dress how you desire!

If you love the new fad or trend then by all means, do you! But be creative, let it be fun and exciting, enjoy mixing and matching; don’t just give into the expectations and the norm because others are doing it!

Now off my soapbox! I really love fall colors, they’re so relaxing and bold at the same time. Take this work OOTD, the green and blush with nude works so well together; both calming and equally dramatic.

On one of my casual work days I also paired the Liz Claiborne short sleeve, split neck blouse with my unfinished hem, skinny jeans. I added a pop of color with an orange belt, which as you can see worked wonderfully.

My gladiator block heeled sandals were a late summer purchase, great deal at only $7, I know awesomeness!! Love good deals.

Can you see in each picture the blouse gives off a different color depending on the paired colors and lighting? Darker then lighter hues.

Blouse (here), Work Pants (old and gifted), Blush Heels (old), Sandal Shoes (here), Jeans (here) similar

Not much more to say other than both outfits made me feel really stylish, comfortable and myself!!

Tell me, are you enjoying the fall colors? I’d love to hear about the colors and how they affect your moods.

Until next time nzuri, thank you for stopping by. Go style you!

I love that blouse! And I love how you paired it with the khakis and the jeans. And you’re right about the blouse changing colors depending on what you’ve paired it with and the lighting! I love it!

That top is cuuuute! I like everything about it — the print, the color, etc. I’m like you, I like neutral colors too. And the pops of color, just make it fun.

You are so right. I tend to look to others for direction in fashion. And will sometimes succumb to wearing things I don’t really like just because someone else says it’s on trend. However, I can’t seem to think outside the box very well on my own. I am too matchy matchy. And often don’t have very good perspective on what fits and what doesn’t. Ha!! I need a dresser!

This top is so pretty. Very professional when paired with the blush trousers. But you look fan-tastic in the top with those darling jeans. What a fit!! Wow-wee!!

Lol Leslie you are too funny. As you can see I’m not a matchy person BUT that’s me and my personality. I think the way we dress should match our lifestyle and comfort zone. So if matchy is comfortable for you, I say stick to it; I’ve seen your outfits on the blog and you look amazing my friend. Thanks for coming over!!

Such good advice and I completely agree! We should wear what makes us happy! 🙂

I really like this blouse – looks great dressed up for work and with the jeans more casually 🙂

Hope that had a great weekend! I went out to a fashion show, it was a lot of fun and a bit different for me! 🙂

Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp 🙂 I just posted this week’s linkup, I’d love you to join again! 🙂
