Black and Grey, Slay…

Hello nzuri!

“Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them.” —Marc Jacobs

My little grey dress (LGD) has been in my closet for quite some time, it was purchased for my son’s high school graduation ceremony over 5 years ago.

Since then the look varies every time I wear it. Sometimes it fits perfectly, sometimes it’s too loose or to snug and at other times, well I wonder why I bought it! There’s a love/hate attraction I have developed with this dress and every time I contemplate giving it away, I give it another try.

Which lead to this OOTD feature, on this particular day, the dress looked and felt wonderful. The weather was even playing a great part as well, so thumbs UP!!

You ever picture a stlye in your head and yet when you’d put it together, it’s just not how you envisioned it? Well, in my head the intended style looked somewhat familiar for work yet in these pictures; I feel like an intelligence agent with the shades and red computer bag; captivating.

“When in doubt, wear red.” —Bill Blass

I knew the red bag would make everything flow with the added pop of color and paired with the black-leather, peep toe booties; just gave an edgier look. I also took a cardigan to work for a bit of coverage.

This was taken right before work and lighting was a little questionable.

Yet by the afternoon, the sun was on my side!!

Tell me, do you add that pop of color or some type of edginess to your daily work or casual wear? I’d like to know, how far do you go?

I had to share, I’m so excited about my bloggers report card!!! Although the year isn’t over yet, I’m on track for getting visitors to my blog. It’s been 10 months since I’ve started back and I’m almost to my goal of getting solid traffic to my site!!! Thank you all for supporting me on my journey!!!

Until next time nzuri, thank you for stopping by my corner of the internet! Take care and always, style you!!

I think the dress looks great on you and with those black peeptoes and red bag is a great look! I wouldn’t throw it away yet if I were you!

    LOL at intelligence agent.

Love the pop of red with all the neutrals. Usually, I’ll do a red shoe when I want a pop of color. I mean, really, red is such a power color.

Congratulations on reaching that blogging mile stone. People don’t realize how much work this takes. But it’s so much fun and, gosh, you meet so many new people.

Lol, I knew you’d appreciate the I.A. comment… Thank you Daenel and by the way you helped kick this off in being so supportive . You were the first blogger I reached out too for some guidance and every since then you’ve been there. You have no idea the impact you’ve made on my really learning this thing. Yes, this is hard work and it takes dedication. I’ve gotten to know some pretty cool people in the process as well. Thank you my friend. 🙏

Congrats on growing your audience and fans!! Well done, you!

That dress is adorable. Love the ruching. Makes it more interesting. And that thrifted computer bag! WoW! Are you carrying it like a purse? I bet it would be super roomy and easy to find things in. Gorgeous pop of color.

Thank you Leslie. I actually have a small computer now so I’m able to place it in the bag with other work related items, it is really roomy.
