Trying To Catch A Moment!

Sometimes getting to the other side seems impossible. You know there’s a way. You can actually see the steps in your mind – but it all seems out of reach. Pause. Relax. Remember to do what you can in the moment you’re in. Before long, you’ll arrive at your destination ready for the next challenge.

Hello nzuri!

Yes, the pictures you are about to see were somewhat an epic failure with what we wanted to create YET a bit of a success because they captured how much fun we truly were having at the time and our determination not to give up…

These were taken on a rainy day and my husband’s thoughts were how cool it would be to get some pictures with a wet overtone. We were looking for creative and artistic pictures, simple right! No, not simple because as you can see the camera picked up no rain, even before editing to get some clarity there was still no indicator of water in the shots with the exception of my rain boots. Really, they were not props.

Although, being out in the warm dropping water was very relaxing, spontaneous and refreshing. I recommend it for everyone, its therapeutic. Unfortunately, there were no photos that truly showed the heaviness of the weather. Now, on the UPSIDE, it does look like a sunny day in the interim and some of the pictures are genuinely cool (I can see the how the wind is moving trees in the background on a few) I also discovered that an umbrella held over a camera really does help to capture some light, which made editing very easy in many of the pictures; so win, win right.

Here your girl thought a bug was on her, I just can’t do bugs! Some freak me out…👀🤪

Lol, moments after big bug scare, yeah, issues and opportunities…

I included all the pictures that were close to good in our opinion and some that we find interesting yet questionable.

I share them to show that nothing is ever going to be perfect on your first take (maybe). I know we see these perfect pictures on advertisements and social media but believe me, they had to take MANY pictures to get the best results and there’s nothing wrong with that! You got to work at it and keep moving to get what you want, whatever it may be.

We took so many pictures and no matter how hard we tried we just couldn’t quite get that perfect pose (we thought) or hot shot with the rain. But isn’t that life. You keep going and moving yet it seems as thou nothing is going your way (you”ve convinced yourself) and that something or someone is always in the way?

Well, I’m here to tell you, sometimes you’re in your way. We are so critical of our own life that we block out what is happening; which could be our uncovered blessing. I want to say, stop judging yourself so harshly, we were placed here to make mistakes, achieve greatness and live life to its realist. Yes, it gets hard, man it gets hard but don’t give up, at some point things do let up and you’ll see your way or that raindrop in your artistic pictures…

This pic and the featured photo are one of my favorites! I initially thought “how blurry ” yet at 2nd glance love them.

Discuss the bleeps and bloopers on your journey with those you trust will understand your dreams or at least hear your passion, it’s ok. How greater is the story when you’ve reached your level of what YOU call success, to look back and laugh at where you were… You’ll appreciate where you’re at #more!

Hit the reset button. Whatever happened yesterday, forget about it. Get a new perspective. Today is a new day. Fresh start, begins now.

I love how you basically made lemonade out of lemons. The photos are really wonderful and we can always learn something. Like that umbrella thing. I may have to use that on cloudy days!!!

Ah! But you speak the truth. I can totally relate to everything you’ve said. It takes a lot of trying sometimes to find the right path/picture/success. But we tend to forget that don’t we? I applaud your positive outlook and your wherewithal to keep going. I like the coverup with the boots and I love all the pics. Your spunky personality really comes through. And what a wonderfully supportive husband to stand out in the rain with you to try to capture that moment.
