I joined @Living Outside the Stacks and her cohost with #styleimitatingart again this week on Instagram with their current art inspired piece!
The curator for this week’s image was hosted by Kim from Fierce Fashion Blog. According to Daenel with http//www.livingoutsidethestacks.com,
Kim chose this image in honor of the fire at Notre Dame.
Le Quai Saint Michel Et Notre Dame by Maximilien Luce
When I look at the art, I see grand pastel colors but also a theatrical twist with some deep blues and reds with all the commotion of visual movement.
I see the sun faintly setting uptop the building, there are hints of brown trees suggesting it could be fall; which lead me to my dress which has the beige, rustic/orange look and hints of brown within.
Also, the A-line pattern of my dress reminds me of the grand Notre Dame building, the way the dress forms in the front and how my neckline is structured. I instantly thought of this dress when I saw the art.
The dress was purchased about 2 summers ago, I have a laced black one with the same cut; both purchased from Target at a steal! I love their discount rack… Anywho, the fit up top is wonderful but as you can tell depending on the way I turn, the bottom of the dress can give the illusion that I have a big caboose, lol, well I do but not that big!!
As I look over the pictures, I could have gone with a nude, taller heel but for now the orange, wedged sandal works good too.
My husband took the photos for me and my daughter said he had to take a picture with me as well, daddy’s girl @he did it for her!!
He didn’t want me to share said it didn’t look good enough for him and he’d just gotten off work; well it looks good enough for me! Lol, I love the picture, what do you think?
So, what colors do you pull from the art? I’d love to know… Until next time nzuri, thank you for coming over to my corner of the internet!
