Sea of Blues…

Hello nzuri!

I’ve come to the conclusion that I like the color blue, a lot…

Now don’t get me wrong, red is still my favorite color, yet recently I’ve noticed my wardrobe favors the blue hues a little more. Also, as I look through my blog collection there are more outfits with this color choice more so than red. Interesting don’t you think…

I’d purchased the blue/grey striped dress over several years ago from Target, it’s one of my staple items. I love the way the stripes flow differently; which gives you a slimmer silhouette. The material is a polyester/rayonne/spandex blend which has a great hold and generous give. I wear the dress once a year when I feel my body is cooperating to my standard. Yes, I’m talking about the belly again!

The the pictures were taken while in Mississippi at one of my aunt’s home. The home was a rebuild over a trailer, yes I said trailer, she’d explained when I was younger that the trailer had caught fire and that some parts were salvageable so they built over it. It worked! My uncle with some assistance from his brothers did a wonderful job on the now grand home with many, many rooms; my son and younger daughter call it the Mississippi hotel! We stay here every time I visit home, the children run up and down the hallways.

The grand, white post columns out front have always been my favorite since childhood, so to take the picture next to them and be able to showcase them is a delight for me.

Yes, I know what you’re thinking; why don’t she get some shades OR keep them near!! I think the same darn thing…

Tell me what you think of the dress? I’d love to hear from you. Until next time nzuri, thanks for coming over to my corner of the internet.

Waaait! Your uncle built that house?!?!?! Wowzers!

That dress is great! I’m the same way with color… My favorite color is purple but I have very little of it in my house or in my closet. I wonder why that is?

Right Daenel! They did that, lol, it’s pretty cool. Thank you for complement on my dress, so appreciated. Yes, I wonder why is that 😁
