Family Holiday

“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” —Jane Howard

Hello nzuri!

Yes, about two weekends ago we, the other part of my clan, my tribe my family had a family holiday!!

It had been so long since my mom side/Chicago family had gotten together that we simply didn’t want to part in the end.

Don’t you love that, when there is NO drama just pure fun!! Well all the smiles and warm embraces were as genuine and so missed! The day was beautiful as well.

We had great food (fish, chicken, spaghetti, fresh fruit, banana pudding, you name it, we had it), music, conversation and jokes always plenty of jokes…

My mom, a couple of my favorite aunties and uncle.
My neicy pooh, nephew, daughter and cousin!!

My aunt Geneva’s famous banana pudding!! She brought two, gone before it hits the table!!

Aunt Geneva…
Aunt Terri!! Host of gathering
Great uncle in the background, Uncle John!!
My nephew, so handsome…

Always love.
She always ready…
Another of my favorites!!!! My uncle Clarence, he’s hillarious…

Entire outfit from New York and Company #iamnyandco, love my white pants, the material was so soft and forgiving…
Tell me about when your family holiday happens, what’s the favorite desert or entree?

Until next time nzuri, thanks for coming over to my corner of the internet!!
